This novel takes place during the time in American History known as The Roaring 1920s. Gatsby, a rich man living in the posh West Egg neighborhood, is in love with his prewar sweetheart Daisy -- who happens to be married to Tom Buchanan. Nick, our narrator and Daisy's cousin, tells us this tale of love lost, mistresses and murder in a sophisticated outsider view.
